XXXTentacion’s son Gekyume gave a message to his late father in an adorable new interview.
YouTuber Brandon Sloane caught up with the six-year-old Gekyume at Target where he brought the young kid whatever toys he wanted. After picking two Pokémon toys, Gekyume revealed the reason he wants them is because he wants to be a YouTuber.
After being asked if he has a message for his dad, Gekyume said, “That I love him.”
Gekyume also asked Sloane whether he had a mom and dad, and if he loved them. After Sloane said yes to all three, Gekyume responded with, “Ok, that’s good.”
To end their video together, Gekyume challenged Sloane to a rap battle where he showcased some skills that he derived from his Platinum recording-having dad.

Back in 2021, Gekyume received a diamond chain with a picture of his father framed in the medallion. The late rapper’s mother, Cleopatra Bernard, shared a picture of Gekyume wearing it while sleeping, writing, “Daddy is with you always my love.”
A year before that, Gekyume’s mother, Jenesis Sanchez, penned a letter to XXXTentacion that detailed some of the big moments in their son’s life that he wasn’t able to see.
“I used to think where did I go wrong in a past life when I lost you. Now all I can think about is you and I must of done something right to create such a divine being. Gekyume,” she wrote. “He’s getting so big it’s crazy. To think he’s about to be two, how time’s passing.”
“He’s so grown saying words like ‘Mama,’ ‘Papa’ when he sees your photos,” she continued. “It’s a bittersweet moment for me every time. He’s so handsome and has so much personality. Super intelligent, bubbly and full of energy. I can’t with his little attitude, just like yours *eye roll*. But lowkey warms my heart.”
