SummerSlam Night time 2 featured the most recent installment of the John Cena retirement tour, as he put his Undisputed WWE Championship up for grabs towards former titleholder Cody Rhodes at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
After a marathon “road struggle” match, Rhodes received his title again from the legend Cena. After the match, Brock Lesnar made his return to the WWE, delivering an F-5 to a surprised Cena.
That was the ultimate of many title matches on Night time 2. Naomi retained her title within the opening match of the cardboard, and Becky Lynch retained hers with a win over Lyra Valkyria. Later, Solo Sikoa outlasted Jacob Fatu in a metal cage match to retain america Championship, and Dominik Mysterio held on to the lads’s Intercontinental Championship with a win over AJ Types.
