Welterweight contenders Garry and Prates collide in the night’s pivotal five-round main event.
Garry (15-1) looks to rebound after suffering his first professional loss in a short-notice replacement fight against the feared Shavkat Rakhmonov this past December at UFC 310 — during which Garry became the first fighter to ever push Rakhmonov to the judges’ scorecards. Prior to that, Garry, 27, rattled off a flawless 8-0 run to start his UFC career, including big wins over Geoff Neal, Michael Page and Neil Magny.

Prates (21-6) faces his toughest test yet after smashing his way through four brutal knockout wins — and four Performance of the Night bonuses — to kick off his Octagon tenure off in style. A key member of Brazil’s up-and-coming Fighting Nerds team, Prates could be on the fast-track to a championship opportunity if he can earn the upset over the betting favorite Garry.
In the evening’s co-main event, one-time UFC title challenger and longtime light heavyweight stalwart Anthony Smith (38-21) competes in his retirement bout against Chinese prospect Zhang Mingyang (18-6).
