At UFC Fight Night in Las Vegas on Sunday, eighth-ranked Gilbert Burns takes on 12th-ranked Michael Morales in a welterweight bout. Burns, coming off three straight losses, including a recent defeat to Sean Brady, will look to arrest his slide. Morales, unbeaten in his professional career since debuting in 2022, poses a tough challenge.
In the undercard, Tecia Pennington faces Brazil’s Luna Pinheiro in a women’s strawweight contest. Pennington, who has won three of her last five fights, including a unanimous decision over Carla Esparza, enters the bout in solid form.
“I’ve had a really good camp; I’m confident, and I’m looking forward to the fight,” Pennington told Sportstar. She added, “Every fight presents an opportunity to shine, and that’s the case for both of us. So, I just want to be as creative as possible and not have any expectations.”
