Two changes in Powell-Pepper’s 150th

Port Adelaide has made two changes ahead of its trip to Ballarat.

Port Adelaide has made two changes ahead of its trip to Ballarat, which will mark Sam Powell-Pepper’s 150th AFL game.

Taking on the Western Bulldogs at Mars Stadium, Logan Evans will replace Josh Sinn in the side, while Will Lorenz will play his third AFL game after making his debut in 2024.

Often described as the heart and soul of the side, fan-favourite Powell-Pepper has made an impactful return this year from a serious knee injury.

The 27-year-old has positively developed as a player and a person since his selection in the 2016 National Draft, being recognised through his inclusion in the leadership group.

The first-round draft pick joined Port Adelaide from Perth, and has continued to be appreciated for his toughness, competitive edge and team-first attitude.

First-year player Christian Moraes has been omitted but has been named emergency alongside Ryan Burton and Rory Atkins.

Key defender Aliir Aliir will play his 100th club game after arriving at Alberton during the 2020 trade period.

The beloved 30-year-old quickly became a critical component of the club’s defensive unit, earning his maiden All-Australian blazer in his first year in Power colours.

The last time Port Adelaide played the Bulldogs was in Round 17 last year at Adelaide Oval, with the home side winning by 48 points.

Saturday’s game will begin at 12:50pm Adelaide time, with the match broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo.
