On June 7, Kroos will play at the Santiago Bernabéu again, 378 days after his last appearance at the famous stadium.
On that May 25, (2024), as Real Madrid played Real Betis, his last final minutes at home in the famous white jersey. That was it, the German later helped Madrid win the Champions League at Wembley and played for Germany at Euro 2024 before retiring. But, next month, the 25-year-old will play at the Santiago Bernabéu again.
Madrid fans were delighted when the 35-year-old himself made the announcement on Instagram: ‘Bernabéu, I’m going to see you again’, he posted.
Kroos is the latest high profile former player to be confirmed for the friendly game against a Dortmund XI and will play alongside the likes of Casillas, Pepe and Marcelo.
