Taco Bell Is Bringing Back Crispy Chicken Nuggets For An 8-Week Run

I’ve always been a Chick-fil-A and McDonald’s girl, but if there’s one item I only eat from other fast food places, it’s Taco Bell’s chicken nuggets. Their Bajas Blasts are good too, but those chicken nuggets? Chef’s kiss.

Unfortunately, the Tex-Mex spot doesn’t offer them year-round, so once they’re gone, they’re gone. Since they were just offered this past December, I thought it’d be a couple of months before they’d return. But apparently, the Taco Bell gods have answered my prayers because they’re bringing them back for a limited time this spring.

Starting April 24, the crispy chicken nuggets will be available for purchase for nearly eight weeks! And that’s not all—depending on how well they sell, they might become a permanent menu item. Officials told CNN that all crispy chicken items could make permanent residence on their menu if the excitement matches previous launches. Apparently, the chain is trying to become the go-to spot for all things chicken, according to a press release.

Just like last time, the chicken nuggets will be sold as a five-piece with one sauce for $3.99, or a ten-piece with two sauces for $6.99. As for the sauces, you can choose from jalapeño honey mustard (my personal fave), Hidden Valley Fire Ranch sauce, and Bell sauce.

I’m not the only one excited for these nuggets. Fans quickly took to Reddit to share their anticipation. “I actually got these a bit when they were released,” one person wrote. “Maybe some of my favorite chicken nuggets out there. And TB rarely misses on the sauces, so I loved those too.”

“I really loved these. Hope they don’t run out of their Bell sauce this time,” another added.

One fan loved the chicken nuggets but would prefer other temporary items to return. “Of all the promotional items they’ve offered over the years, this is the one they chose? Don’t get me wrong, they were better than expected,” they wrote. “I preferred the Naked Chicken Chalupa, personally. I’d also donate organs for the volcano sauce to be permanent.”

Others agreed, noting they’d love to see items like the Meximelts or the Volcano menu make a return for more than just once a year. I get it—it took McDonald’s lovers over a decade to get the Snack Wrap to return, so I totally feel their frustration. But if Taco Bell is open to making the crispy chicken nuggets a permanent part of their menu, who’s to say they won’t consider other fan favorites next?
