See Flau’jae Johnson’s Buzzer-Beating Look for Met Gala 2025

Originally appeared on E! Online

Flau’jae Johnson is making a full-court press for the 2025 Met Gala.

The NCAA basketball star brought the glam in a Walter Mendez dress tailored by Marquise Foster as she hosted E! News’ CreatorCam May 5. She completed her look with a stunning Lynn Paul headpiece and Grown Brilliance jewelry styled by Amiraa V as well as stylist assistants Aaron Hawkins and Dorothy Lawes, with hair by Karjahh Carter and makeup by Jasmine Madison.

“Flau’jae’s Met Gala look is a celebration of evolution—a visual narrative of a young woman blossoming into her purpose and power,” Amiraa V told E!. “With a nod to dandyism, she defines Black excellence through her confidence, individuality, and multi-dimensional talents. A true one of one, her presence is the gift that keeps on giving.”

Stationed inside The Pierre Hotel in New York City, E!’s CreatorCam—powered by Samsung and captured on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra—will give fashion watchers a unique vantage point as the musician, 21, guides them through their favorite stars’ sure-to-be stunning ensembles before they make their way to the Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual ball.

Additionally, E! News The Rundown‘s Erin Lim Rhodes and Hot Goss’ Lonnie Marts hosted the 90-minute Live From E! Stream: Met Gala livestream from The Mark Hotel, where they interviewed this year’s celebrity attendees. Plus, Zuri Hall is with Live From E!: Met Gala 2025 on the steps at the museum as all the stars make their entry into the invite-only soiree.

This year, guests are encouraged to take inspiration from the “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” theme and “Tailored For You” dress code, which Vogue Editor Anna Wintour described as “particularly meaningful and emotional.”

“What I’m hoping that this exhibition will do is really put a light on the talent of all these arbiters of style,” she said during an interview with Good Morning America’s Michael Strahan. “And look at their traditions and their history and their culture. But most importantly to me, in a way, is when I look at the show I see freedom. I see liberation. I see hope. I see respect. And I see joy.”

Live From E! Stream: Met Gala kicked off at 6:30 p.m. ET/3:30 p.m. PT. on E! Online, Peacock, TODAY ALL DAY and All Fast partners, as well as on the YouTube channels for E! News, E! Insider, E! Entertainment, Access Hollywood and Today.
