Residents evacuated from a North End rooming house after Winnipeg police spotted a noon-hour fire on Good Friday.
The officers noticed the fire around 12:10 p.m. in a two-storey rooming house at the corner of Dufferin Avenue and Andrews Street, according to a police spokesperson.
By the time firefighters arrived, all residents of the building were outside and no injuries were reported, the city said in a news release Friday.
Firefighters tackled the blaze from inside the home, declaring it under control just after 12:45 p.m.
The cause of the fire wasn’t released.
