Midfielder Daniel Edelman, who hasn’t played in a month due to a hamstring injury, will be on the New York Red Bulls’ roster for their Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup Round of 32 match at the Colorado Springs Switchbacks on Tuesday night.

“He’s joining our team training session today in the afternoon, our full team training session,” Red Bulls head coach Sandro Schwarz said during a Monday afternoon Zoom session with the media. “Then we have to decide. Is he ready tomorrow [Tuesday] to play in the starting lineup or to be on the bench? But he will be 100 percent in our roster.”

Edelman, 22, last played in a 2-1 home win over the Chicago Fire on April 5.
