Ranveer Allahbadia shows Osama bin Laden’s photo to hit out at Pakistan, says the world should recognise Pakistan’s real ‘face of terror’

YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known for his YouTube podcast BeerBiceps, presented a strong rebuttal to Pakistan’s claims during a debate on Piers Morgan’s show, following four days of military tension between India and Pakistan. During a panel discussion on the India-Pakistan ceasefire, Allahbadia held up two photos to make a point about global narratives on terrorism.

Ranveer shows images of Laden, Abdul Rauf

He first showed a picture of Osama bin Laden and said, “this is the face that the world recognises.” He then showed another image of LeT terrorist Abdul Rauf at a funeral attended by Pakistani army officials and said, “This is the face that India recognises.”
“This is the narrative the world should know,” he said.

“India only retaliates,” says Allahbadia

Allahbadia defended India’s recent military action under Operation Sindoor. “India’s strikes were precision-oriented, moderate and most importantly, they were simply retaliation as they have always been,” he said.

He added, “India has never been an aggressor. We export vaccines, philosophy, engineers and leaders to the world – which is why our economy is eleven times the economy of Pakistan.”

When questioned about Pakistan’s allegation that India seeks international sympathy, Allahbadia addressed Piers Morgan directly and asked, “Piers, my question is to you. You’ve seen the objective facts and figures. What do you feel about this situation?”

Criticises Pakistan’s stance on terrorism

Allahbadia said the global community needs to recognise the extent of Pakistan’s role in sheltering and celebrating terrorists. “It is more specific to our narrative. This man is a UN-designated terrorist being celebrated by the Pak military in the background. That’s not the narrative the Pakistanis give. That’s not the narrative that the US knows,” he said.He concluded his argument by stating, “I have no narrative other than the one the world should know.”

On his deleted post about Pakistanis

Morgan also questioned Allahbadia about a deleted social media post where he had earlier referred to Pakistanis as “brothers and sisters.” The post was made after the Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26 people.
Allahbadia explained, “I deleted it because Pakistan had just broken the ceasefire and gave us another reason to not trust the entire state once again. Even if you try to have a conversation with Pakistan, it responds with ‘where’s the proof of the Pahalgam attack?’”

He added, “My question is, have you studied what the world is saying about your country (Pakistan)? Have you seen the economy of your country?”

“We are protecting humanity”

Allahbadia repeated that India’s actions were a response to terrorism and not an act of aggression. “It’s very important to understand that the Indian armed forces simply retaliated to the action of the Pakistanis. I have no narrative other than the one the world should know,” he said.

“We are combatting terrorism and Pakistan exports terrorism. We are protecting our civilians, but truth be told, we are protecting humanity. Pakistan has become the terror-hub of the world. This is not an Indian narrative, this is the narrative that the world should know,” he concluded.

What is Ranveer Doing in the show?

However, several Indian social media users were surprised to see YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia participate in a televised debate about India-Pakistan relations, terrorism, and the recent attack in Pahalgam. The discussion took place on Piers Morgan’s show and involved serious political topics, including the history between the two countries.

Online, many questioned why Allahbadia, known primarily as a content creator and podcaster, was chosen to speak on geopolitical issues. Some users felt that a more experienced figure, such as politician Shashi Tharoor, could have been a better choice to represent the Indian side of the argument.

One social media user commented, “Looks like Piers just went on Google, typed famous Indian YouTuber and then called him on the show.” Another user wrote in Hindi, “Baki sab thik hai ye Ranveer Allahbadia yahan kyun baitha hai?” which translates to, “All else is fine, but why is Ranveer Allahbadia sitting there?”

Reactions were mixed. While a section of viewers praised Allahbadia for highlighting India’s position and “exposing Pakistan,” others expressed disbelief. Comments ranged from surprise to criticism, with one user writing, “Ranveer Allahbadia on the Piers Morgan show? Didn’t see that one coming.” Another said the segment felt more like a “Model UN audition” than a serious discussion on foreign affairs.
