Marc-Andre Fleury has always been one to pull a prank in his career, and in his final season, he’s pulled a brilliant one on rookie Zeev Buium.
The Minnesota Wild not only landed a brilliant, veteran goaltender when they picked up Marc-Andre Fleury, but they also landed one of the most notorious pranksters that the NHL has ever seen.
Those pranks are infamous in NHL circles, with some of the best involving Sidney Crosby and his old Pittsburgh Penguins teammates, and even at age 40, he’s not stopping them anytime soon.
With just a few days remaining in his final NHL season, rookie Zeev Buium, who was called up just a few days ago after finishing his NCAA career has told the tale of a simple but brilliant prank from the veteran.
‘I was sitting in the theatre and they told me to sit somewhere, and they pointed at the seat and I sat there. Fleury walked up and said ‘that’s my seat’ and it wasn’t actually.’
