We love a celebrity wedding, and Millie Bobby Brown and Jake Bongiovi’s beautiful Italian wedding in the summer of 2023 was no exception. Not least because Millie had a grand total of FIVE (!!) wedding dresses, including a custom white lace Galia Lahav gown to walk down the aisle, a vintage 1993 Valentino dress, a Vivienne Westwood off-the-shoulder ruched satin short wedding dress and a party-perfect crystal-embellished ‘Moonshine’ mini dress from Annie’s Ibiza.
And it seems Millie kept the bridal white theme going well into her honeymoon. Taking to Instagram to wish her husband a happy 23rd birthday, the actress included a never-before-seen selfie from the couple’s Croatian honeymoon in October of 2023 in the carousel of snaps.
The second slide in her celebratory post sees MBB and Jake posing together with Mills wearing a plunging white swimsuit embellished entirely with glass beads. Along with a grey bow motif adorning the front, a black heart and her husband’s initials ‘JB’ were depicted on the chest. She layered a white linen shirt over the top as a chic AF beach cover-up, coordinating perfectly with Jake’s matching linen shirt that had ‘Hubby’ embroidered in gold thread above the breast pocket. White sunglasses and silver jewellery completed her beach attire perfectly.
Millie’s swimsuit was a custom creation made by swimwear brand Oceanus. Designer Hannah Attalah was approached by Millie’s team before her May 2024 wedding and was asked to create a bespoke swimsuit for her honeymoon.
“It’s so wonderful to work closely with a bride and see their vision come to life” Hannah told Cosmo UK. “We have been working with lots of new brides who want something special for their honeymoons and bridal showers, and we are so happy that we could be part of that journey with Millie, too.”
To make it even more personal, the design also incorporated the couple’s star signs – Millie is a Pisces and Jake’s a Taurus – embroidered among the details. Skilled artisans hand-embroidered each element using beautiful glass beads, with the entire process taking around six weeks to complete, ensuring every stitch reflected the love and care behind the piece.
If you’re a bride-to-be heading somewhere sunny on your hen do or honeymoon – or there’ll be a hot tub at your destination – a white swimsuit or bikini is a must, IMO. After all, you may only be a bride once, so let Millie be your inspiration and embrace your bridal era fully.
