Khloe Kardashian’s ex Tristan Thompson was issued a stern warning by a Los Angeles judge after he failed to appear for a scheduled court hearing, In Touch can exclusively report.
According to court documents obtained by In Touch, a hearing was held in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, April 22, as part of Tristan’s 18-year-old disabled brother Amari Thompson’s guardianship.
The judge noted that Tristan, 34, and an attorney Aaron Hegji were “properly notified of the court’s order” which compelled them to appear at the hearing.
The court found that Tristan had failed to comply with a court order and failed to file accounting in the case. The judge scheduled a new hearing for June 12.

A citation was issued to Tristan notifying him that “failure to comply or appear may result in sanctions.”
Back in February 2024, Tristan was appointed Amari’s permanent guardian.
The NBA star had filed a petition to take over control of Amari’s life after their mother, Andrea Thompson, unexpectedly passed in early 2023.
Amari has Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, which is a severe form of epilepsy, and he requires around the clock care. Tristan explained that his father Trevor Thompson, who is also Amari’s father, had not been around in years.
“Before Andrea Marie Brooks … died on January 5, 2023, she obtained sole custody of [Amari] in July of 2014. Trevor Douglas Thompson was ordered to pay child support to Andrea Marie Brooks as a result of the same proceeding which granted Andrea Brooks sole custody,” Tristan’s filing alleged.
The petition added. “Since then, Trevor Douglas Thompson has effectively abandoned the proposed ward; he failed to pay any child support despite the court order and has not been in contact with the [Amari] or Andrea Marie Brooks since July 2014.”

Tristan said, “My only contact with Trevor Thompson in the past nine years was a brief interaction when he appeared at my mother’s funeral. I have no knowledge of his current or recent whereabouts.”
Trevor did not oppose Tristan’s request in court.
At the time, the NBA star told the court, “Amari is currently a Canadian citizen. Until the death of his mother in January of 2023, the care for his medical conditions was provided in Canada. While he has been receiving treatment and care in Los Angeles for the past several months, his care is specialized and it is possible that the circumstances may require him to travel to see his previous providers in Canada.”
Tristan’s lawyer said, “The process to apply for American citizenship is slow and Amari will require care for duration of his life, [Tristan] would like to get started on this as soon as possible in order for Amari to begin to qualify for any social services benefits he would be entitled to as an American citizen.”
Tristan Thompson
Tristan has been Amari’s guardian since early 2024.
Back in July 2024, Tristan posted a series of photos celebrating Amari’s 18th birthday.
The NBA star wrote, “Happy birthday, Amari! Big number 18! We are so blessed and fortunate for all the blessings that you bring to our lives! You are always a beacon of light! I love you so much and I’m so so blessed to be your older brother.”
