Jordan Romano struck out two batters in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday’s win over the Guardians.
Fantasy Impact:
Romano has been sharp through four appearances in May, allowing no earned runs while striking out four. Despite a rough start to the season, he’s trending in the right direction. Following Sunday’s outing, he now holds an 8.79 ERA and 1.67 WHIP over 16 games, with three saves and two blown saves. While Jose Alvarado currently holds the closer role, Romano should continue to see occasional save chances based on matchups and remains a regular option in high-leverage situations.
