Wrexham fans have shown their support for Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney after spotting one thing in the latest Disney series.
Wrexham achieved an incredible feat this season, having successfully recorded three successive promotions.
The season brought up some difficulties at times, but particularly in the latter half of the 2024/25 League One campaign, Phil Parkinson’s side were exceptional.
After the campaign, it didn’t take them long to release the latest series of Welcome To Wrexham, which has touched on Paul Mullin’s injury, as well as the comparisons to Tom Brady’s Birmingham City.
However, there is another thing that many fans haven’t noticed, but those who have proceeded to praise both Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney for what they did.

Wrexham fans praise Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney for showcasing local businesses in latest Disney series
Many onlookers believe that Reynolds and McElhenney have only shown interest in the club, but much of their work has actually gone into the local community. From giving Wrexham’s Women’s side a significant boost, to advertising local businesses, Reynolds and McElhenney have done plenty for the entire town.
This was showcased in the latest Welcome To Wrexham series so far, with there being a particular focus on the local businesses getting showcased throughout.
Eagle-eyed supporters spotted this trend, and took to social media to thank the Wrexham owners for showing such care to the local businesses, as one fan said: “Great to see Wrexham FX showing some local businesses in the new season. The development of the town is so important and great to see some success stories off the pitch.”
Another fan wrote that ‘R+R are not just giving money… They are supporting a whole community’, whilst even a Cardiff City fan dropped his allegiances to show support for the Wrexham owners.
“The work they are putting into the whole community is absolutely unreal,” said the Cardiff City supporter. “Best owners in world football.”

The optimism that Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney have reinstated in Wrexham is incredible
When Reynolds and McElhenney took over at Wrexham, nobody would have expected the pair to have quite the significant and positive impact that they have managed, not just for the club but the community as well.
As a town, Wrexham is now thriving, and it shows that the owners do truly care about the community involved.
Even Humphrey Ker noticed the huge benefits that Reynolds and McElhenney have brought to the place, speaking on Ben Foster’s podcast.
“You can donate $1million to a charity, or say $2million, because that’s what it cost for them to take over the club. Give $2million to a charity, they will do something brilliant and it’s amazing,” said Ker.
“But if you spend $2million on a football club, and you’re able to grow that football club and build it, it reaches so much further in a way, and it becomes a catalyst.”
That has been the case with Wrexham in previous years, and there is no sign of such progress off the pitch slowing down.
