BOSTON — The Boston Celtics dropped Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinals series vs. the New York Knicks in overtime, 108-105.
Boston led by as many as 20 points, but New York chipped away with a dominant third quarter and took the lead in the fourth. The C’s fought back to force overtime, but their struggles continued in the extra period and the Knicks escaped TD Garden with a huge road victory.
Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby led all scorers with 29 points apiece. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 23.
