TULSA, Okla. (KTUL) — Xaviar Babudar, also known as “Chiefsaholic”, has been sentenced to 32 years in Oklahoma prison.
A Tulsa County judge found Babudar guilty of one count of robbery with a firearm, one count of assault while masked or disguised and one count of removing an electronic monitoring device.
He was previously sentenced to 17 years in federal prison for committing 11 bank robberies in 7 states, Oklahoma included.
In total, Chiefsaholic made off with $847,725.
The U.S. Attorney prosecuting the case said Babudar would use the money to pay for Chiefs games across the country. Babudar cultivated a social media following for being a Kansas City Chiefs superfan. He was known to dress up as a wolf in Chiefs gear.
In December 2022, Babudar entered the Tulsa Teachers Credit Union in Bixby and demanded cash while wearing a mask and pointing a gun at the teller. The gun was later found to be a BB gun.
“The violence that Babudar exhibited to the employees of the Tulsa Teacher Credit Union was abhorrent,” said Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler. “He is a serial robber who traumatized these victims and numerous other victims across this country.”
Less than two months after his Bixby arrest, his bond was lowered and he bonded out of jail. He was ordered to wear an ankle monitor, which prosecutors say he removed. He later missed a court date and was found months later in California.
The Tulsa County judge ordered Babudar’s state sentence to run concurrent to his federal sentence. After he spends 17 and a half years in federal prison, he will be transferred to Oklahoma to serve the remaining 14 and a half years.
