The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has dismissed rumours about the class 10 and 12 board exam results release date. The board’s clarification came after it was widely circulated on social media that the annual board exam results would be announced on May 2.
The CBSE 10 and 12 results date 2025 have not been confirmed yet, students are advised to keep a tab on the official website for update on results, a senior board official told India Today on Thursday.
The students can track all the updates about results on the board’s official website – cbse.gov.in.
Lakhs of students participated in the board exams conducted during the February-March period. Now, speculations are rife about when the board will release the results. With no official date confirmed yet, students and parents are eagerly awaiting an announcement. CBSE has urged everyone to avoid rumours and rely solely on official updates via its website, cbse.gov.in, for accurate information regarding the 2025 results.
The anticipation around result declaration was further fuelled as last year the CBSE had declared the results in the first -half of May. Based on past trends, the board may release the results in the second-week of May.
This year, about 44 lakh students gave the CBSE class 10 and 12 board exams. Of these, nearly 24 lakh students appeared in the class 10 exams. Meanwhile, about 18 lakh students gave the class 12 exams. The board is likely to announce the results of both classes on the same day.
Once the results are announced, the students will be able to check their provisional scorecard on the official portal of the education board.
