While Bad Bunny was turning heads at the Met Gala this morning, Australian fans received news that the Latin hip hop and pop superstar would soon make his first ever trip Down Under, with the 31-year-old Puerto Rican singer set to play one Australian concert in February 2026.
The show is part of his 23-date Debí Tirar Más Fotos tour — named for his new album — which will see the singer and rapper headline stadiums around the world.
Sydney is the only Australian city lucky enough to host the singer on his travels, where he’ll play the Sydney Showgrounds (commercially known as Engie Stadium) on Saturday, February 28.
Who is Bad Bunny?
The three-time Grammy and 11-time Latin Grammy award winner is indisputably one of the biggest names in music today.
He was the most streamed artist on Spotify for three years running between 2020 and 2023 and hasn’t left the top five since 2018. His 2022 album, Un Verano Sin Ti, is the most streamed release in the platform’s history.
He’s also something of a fashion icon, his colourful and stylish dress sense inspiring many artists to embrace a new form of masculinity through their dress, while his recent turn as an underwear model caught plenty of attention.
In 2022, he broke world record for the highest-grossing tour in a calendar year, clocking up a tidy $US435 million in ticket sales across 81 stops. In 2023, he became the first Latin artist to headline the famous Coachella music festival.
In recent weeks he has sold 400,000 tickets across a 30-show residency in his home country of Puerto Rico — which kicks off in July — suggesting that demand for tickets for his first ever Australian stop will likely be intense.
Debí Tirar Más Fotos was released in January and debuted at number one on the US Billboard charts.
The album sees him further embrace his love for Puerto Rico, blending local genres like reggaeton, plena and jíbaro music with lyrics that interrogate his country’s social and political situations.
Where else is he touring?
This morning’s announcement of Bad Bunny’s first Australian show came as part of his unveiling of a world tour, where the singer will play stadiums in Europe for the first time in more than half a decade and his first shows in Latin America since 2022.

Last year saw Bad Bunny play extensively in the United States, so it stands to reason that his focus is elsewhere for the time being.
In November, after the Puerto Rican residency ends, he’ll kick off his tour in Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic before visiting Costa Rica, Colombia, Mexico, Peru, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Australia, Japan, Spain, Portugal, Germany, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, France, Sweden, Poland, Italy and finishing up in Belgium in July of 2026.
Despite being one of the world’s most in-demand live artists, Bad Bunny has plenty of territories still to visit. As well as marking his first Australian trip, this tour will also see the singer visit major markets like Brazil and Japan for the first time ever.
Bad Bunny will play the Sydney Showground on February 28, 2026, with tickets on sale from 11am local time this Friday.
