Around 2 lakh beneficiaries in Odisha to receive financial aid tomorrow

Around two lakh women in Odisha are all set to receive financial support as part of the Subhadra Yojana initiative on April 24. The financial aid will be distributed on the occasion of National Panchayati Raj Divas in Puri.

According to sources, this initiative is part of the sixth phase of disbursement under the scheme, targeting those who have applied by the March 31 deadline and those who have been excluded from the scheme.

The announcement was earlier made by Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, highlighting the state’s efforts in promoting economic independence for women.

The state government plans to deposit funds directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, ensuring transparency and efficiency in aid distribution.

Sixth Round of Disbursement

This upcoming phase marks the sixth round of disbursement under the Subhadra Yojana. Women who have submitted their applications by the March 31 deadline will receive their funds in two instalments, with both being credited simultaneously on April 24.

Addressing Grievances

Beneficiaries who feel they have been unjustly omitted can report their concerns using the toll-free helpline. Verified claims will be addressed in future phases of the scheme. Additionally, individuals who have received only the first instalment are encouraged to use this service to report their issues.

Notably, the Subhadra Yojana reflects the Odisha government’s commitment to fostering women’s financial independence and bolstering their economic empowerment.
