For years, Amazon Prime Video has followed a pattern of introducing new movies under its rental category, making them free to stream later. However, the response to rentals has generally been underwhelming. Recently, the OTT platform released two Hindi films – Crazxy and Superboys of Malegaon – on rent.
Both films were made available for rental on April 11, 2025. While Crazxy is available only in Hindi, Superboys of Malegaon is also streaming in Telugu and a few other Indian languages. Now, both movies are set to begin streaming for free on the platform starting this Friday, April 25, 2025 – exactly two weeks after their initial digital release.
The films received a decent response during their theatrical runs, and it remains to be seen how audiences will receive them on OTT. Crazxy is directed by Girish Kohli, while Superboys of Malegaon is helmed by Reema Kagti. Stay tuned for more details.
