2025 NHL playoff picture: Who has qualified?

The NHL playoffs begin on Friday, April 19, but the bracket hasn’t been set.

However, Tuesday, April 15 could be a big night for the NHL.

The Columbus Blue Jackets, Minnesota Wild, St. Louis Blues and Calgary Flames are still fighting for a playoff spot and play on Tuesday.

Who’s in the NHL playoffs?

Eastern Conference: Washington Capitals, Carolina Hurricanes, New Jersey Devils, Toronto Maple Leafs, Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Ottawa Senators
Western Conference: Winnipeg Jets, Dallas Stars, Colorado Avalanche, Vegas Golden Knights, Los Angeles Kings, Edmonton Oilers

The Montreal Canadiens will clinch a playoff berth if the Blue Jackets don’t beat the Philadelphia Flyers in regulation.
The Wild will clinch a playoff berth if they get at least one point vs. the Anaheim Ducks or the Blues lose to Utah or the Flames lose to the Vegas Golden Knights.
The Blues will clinch a playoff berth if they beat Utah in regulation. They’d also clinch if they win in overtime or a shootout and either of the following occurs: The Flames don’t beat the Golden Knights in regulation or the Wild lose in regulation. Third option: They get one point and the Flames lose. Fourth option: The Flames lose in regulation.
The Maple Leafs will clinch the Atlantic Division title if they get at least one point vs. the Sabres or if the Lightning lose to the Panthers.
