Upcoming 7-seaters – Kia 7-Seater


The first among two 7-seaters to arrive is Kia’s new 7-seater! Now what will it be? SUV? Or Carens-based MPV? Well, rumours suggest that it will be heavily based on the Carens. However, Kia has said that it will be sold alongside the Carens. Which means the new 7-seater could be positioned a segment above the Carens. Additionally, the upcoming Kia car will boast a new nameplate – distinguishing itself from the Carens. That said, the all new Kia 7-seater is set to debut on 8th of May 2025!

What To Expect?


Kia Carens facelift, or the upcoming new Kia 7-seater has been spotted in India. The car was completely covered but has still revealed a few key details. The new 7-seater was spotted with headlamp design inspired from the Kia Syros. Some noticeable features include panoramic sunroof & Level-2 ADAS. The interior is still under cover but again, we can expect similarities with the Syros. This also includes the feature list like 12.3-inch touchscreen system, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Harman Kardon sound system, front & rear ventilated seats, and more.

Under the hood, the new car might share its powertrain options with the Carens. Currently, it is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine, 1.5-litre turbo petrol TGDi and 1.5-litre turbo diesel engine. Transmission options include an iMT, DCT and Torque converter automatic.
Upcoming 7-seaters – MG Majestor


To take on the legacy of Toyota Fortuner, MG had launched the feature-rich & spacious – Gloster! However, the SUV did not receive the response MG had expected. Now, the brand is all set to introduce another SUV – based on the Gloster, but a lot more premium! It is the MG Majestor. The SUV is all set to be launched in May 2025! So what all to expect?

What To Expect?


Although based on the Gloster, the Majestor will have a different design language. In fact, globally the SUV is already unveiled – Maxus LDV D90! So, the Majestor sports a different design language compared to the Gloster. It gets a different headlamp setup, bigger alloy wheels, and connected LED tail lamps. Even the interior design is completely different as seen on the test car in India. The spy shots have also revealed a few key details like a bigger touchscreen system, ambient lights, new design for AC vents, and more.

What about the engine options? Well, the exact specifications are yet to be revealed. However, we feel that MG would continue to offer the same 2.2-litre diesel engine (161 bhp and 373 Nm) and the more powerful unit the 2.2-litre bi-turbo diesel engine (215 bhp and 478 Nm). Both these engine options are mated to 8-speed AT gearbox only.
